Whether you're dealing with toothaches, damage, or decay, trust us to restore both the functionality and aesthetics of your smile. Dental FillingA dental filling is the best way to restore minor to moderate damage to teeth, including filling cavities following the removal of decay, and making simple repairs from cracks or fracture. Today, the most common filling material used is composite resin, which is a blend of quartz materials and resin. The material used in composite resin today is stronger, more durable and still able to be shaded to match your teeth. Dental CrownA dental crown is a ceramic or metal shaped cap that is customized to match your tooth in shape and size. We use it to cover a damaged or diseased tooth to apply a layer of strength to the natural tooth. By providing an outer layer of protection, we can save the tooth and extend its life by many years. Dental BridgeWhen a patient is missing teeth, one option is to place a dental bridge to fill the gaps and improve both your function and appearance. A dental bridge replaces missing teeth, it works by using two dental crowns with false teeth linked together. The crowns on each end are supported by using any combination of two surrounding teeth or dental implants. Using a bridge will help prevent the remaining teeth from shifting out of their proper position. Dental ImplantsA dental implant is a titanium or non-metal ceramic post that we can surgically embed right into the jawbone. Once healed, we can use this post to serve as the root component, or base, of a dental prosthetic, including a crown, bridge or even a full denture. Dental implants have an incredibly high long term success rate, and they reestablish the connection that your jawbone needs to stay healthy. For these reasons, implants are widely considered to be the next best thing to your natural teeth and the healthiest option for replacing teeth. Implant Supported DenturesDental implants have also provided a significant advancement in dentures. You can now have your denture placed with the support of dental implants. We offer bar-retained, implant supported overdenture, ball-retained snap on and off dentures, and the permanently retained All-on-4® Treatment Concept. With implants, we can provide our patients with a hybrid solution that optimizes both the benefits of comprehensive dentures with the firm hold of implants. Inlays & OnlaysDental inlays and onlays are a form of a partial crown. We use them for areas of teeth that have been affected with large areas of decay or fracture. A dental inlay is used to fill the area inside of a tooth. A dental onlay is to cover an outer area of a decayed or damaged portion of a tooth. Root Canal TherapyA root canal is a treatment we perform when infection has reached the inner portion of the tooth, infecting the pulp inside. It is often known as a last-ditch effort to save a tooth before extraction is necessary. When the pulp becomes infected, it can not cure itself, without cleaning, the tooth would die and possibly spread the infection to neighboring teeth. Treatment includes going inside the tooth to remove the infected portion and then cleaning the area with an antimicrobial wash. The canal is then filled with a material called gutta-percha which serves as an antibacterial. The tooth will generally then require a dental crown to provide strength to the weakened tooth, this will depend on the amount of damage and placement of the tooth. Tooth ExtractionsThe extraction of a tooth is the full removal of the tooth. Removing is never our first objective, but may be necessary if the tooth is impacted, part of your orthodontic treatment, or if it is severely damaged or diseased.
