Dentures - A Brief History

Washington had four sets of dentures in his lifetime because he began losing his teeth by the age of 24. All of Washington’s teeth were gone by the time he was 30. Although some of Washington’s issues with losing teeth were because dental hygiene was scarce back then, there was also a problem with medication back then. Washington was given mercury oxide during his life to fighting malaria and smallpox. Mercury oxide is a poison, and it is known to cause teeth to fall out.
Dentures were actually in use well before Washington. People have used them as a way to replace lost teeth. What Is The Difference Between Full and Partial Dentures?
